Snow Skies - Presented by Mike Reinhart

Winter flying with demonstration on installation of snow skies.

The following method is in contrary to Dubro's website which has the screw facing forward. I found their method to be
problematic and usually resulted in flip-overs, bent screws and re-alignment problems.

Here is what I believe to be a better way to install the snow skis. Notice the red thread lock.  Shafts are also notched.

How & Why: Installing the skies this way prevents the ski from tilting down while taxing and prevents "digging in" to the snow.
This method will easily transverse holes and crevasses as the ski tip cannot tilt down and embed itself in the snow.
The screw doesn't restrict the upward ski movement thus allowing it to tilt as much as it needs to in order to glide
up and over a high snow mound or out of a deep crevasse.
There is also the extra in-flight flying benefit of a very low airfoil drag as the skis fly flat and don't point up at all when airborne.
